Host services

curl <url> / wget <url>

Fetch a page over TCP 80 (http://) or list/fetch files over FTP (ftp://). The answer comes only from a device whose web or FTP service runs, across the real path.

Works on: PC, Server, Printer, NASMode: shell

Example

PC1# curl http://www.lab/
Watch out

'Connection refused' = reached, nothing listening. 'Connection timed out' = an ACL, route or cable stopped it.
