Meet Classroom: teach networking on one live, shared lab

Hi everyone, the NetForge-AI team here.

Teaching networking, or interviewing someone for a network role? Meet Classroom.

Open the lab, press Classroom and start a class. You get a short join code: students sign in with a free account, enter it, and land on your canvas. Every device you drag in, every cable and every CLI command appears on their screens live, and you can pass the pen so a student builds while the room watches.

Add an assignment with checks such as "PC1 can reach SRV1", and the grader tests each submission against the live network. A class chat, private messages and file sharing keep questions next to the lab.

Tick Interview room for a one-to-one session, with the helper tools hidden by default.

A free account hosts up to 5 students; paid plans remove the cap. Start a class at netforge-ai.com/teachers

NetForge Classroom: open a class, share a code, present live, assign work that grades itself, watch progress, keep questions in the room The lab with a small demo network (PC, switch, router, server) and the Classroom button in the toolbar Hosting a class: a title, the current canvas as the students' starting point, and which tools students may use Interview room ticked: the subnet calculator, ARIA and 3D Live are off for the candidate by default An auto-graded assignment: PC1 can reach SRV1, and PC1 has its default gateway set, with every other check type listed below Joining a class: the student types the class code

Meet 3D Live: walk inside the network you built

Hi everyone, the NetForge-AI team here.

Meet 3D Live: the network you build in the lab, turned into a 3D world you can walk through.

Wire a topology on the 2D canvas, press 3D Live, and a little engineer stands among your switches, routers, PCs and servers, with every cable you connected. Send a ping and watch it travel. Then step inside a device. A router shows each stage of handling the packet, from the port it arrived on to the new Ethernet header it writes, with the real addresses, the device's own tables and the show command that proves each step.

There are guided fault-finding missions too, and anything you build in 3D is saved back to your lab: the 2D canvas and 3D Live are one network.

3D Live is free on every plan and opens without an account. Try it at netforge-ai.com/lab/world

The 2D lab: PC1 pings SRV1 through a switch and a router The same lab: show ip route on R1 3D Live: the engineer next to the switch, the cables running to the PC and the router 3D Live: the whole network, PC, switch and router joined by cables Inside the router: the packet inspector rewrites the Ethernet header, step by step A 3D Live mission: find why the replies never come back

    • Two PCs through a switchThe most basic LAN: two hosts in the same subnet talking via an L2 switch. Perfect for learning ARP and MAC learning.
    • Two LANs joined by a routerInter-subnet routing 101: two switches behind a router. Set IPs, default gateways, and ping across subnets.
    • Three-router WAN with static routesA small WAN: three routers in a triangle with serial-style links. Practice writing static routes for full reachability.
    • Small Business — ISP edge + DHCP-served LANCloud (ISP) → Edge router → Switch → 3 PCs (DHCP clients) + File server. Edge router runs a DHCP pool; PCs auto-acquire IPs. PAT on the Edge takes the private LAN out to the internet through one public address.
